Bingo Night For Endometriosis

On Monday the 21st of March we held a fundraiser for our Charity of The Month, Endometriosis UK, a night of raising awareness of Endometriosis, bingo, food and drink as well as some stunning photography from Joseff Williams and Sophie Francis.

Photography by Joseff and Sophie displayed throughout the building until the end of March.

Martha Llewellyn, from Square Peg in Sketty opened our evening by speaking about her experience suffering with Endometriosis. Highlighting facts such as 1 in 10 women of reproductive age in the UK suffer from endometriosis and 10% of women world wide have endometriosis - that’s 176 million worldwide! She also shared her own personal surgery story to combat the Endometriosis within her body and how raising awareness and talking about Endometriosis is the best way to highlight the detrimental effects it can have on women, especially if undiagnosed.

We held three rounds of bingo with the Hoogah team and Angie on the mic attempting to come up with some Hoogah Bingo Lingo as the games went on - apparently anything ending with a three rhymes with spicy beans…? Good job guys!

Our last games concluded with four separate players calling bingo on the same number so there was only one way to decide the overall winner - Rock, Paper Scissors, with Sophie, model of the photography around the cafe coming out as our champion for the evening!

We wrapped up the evening with a raffle before saying goodbye to everyone, massive thank you to everyone who came to support and help raise awareness of Endometriosis! You can help support raise funds by grabbing our charity pizza and/or cocktail until the first week of April, or head straight to Endometriosis UK to donate!
