HOOGAH x UNHU Birthday Takeover
We’ve been celebrating five years of Hoogah this November and our beloved staff member Rachel and her wife Hannah wanted to celebrate with us by bringing UNHU and Hoogah together once more!
It was regular Hoogah service until 9PM, customers enjoying their Hoogah favourites from the kitchen while Squidge played a dub mix over those eating their dinner before partying! When the kitchen closed, the tables were moved to create our dance floor for the rest of the evening!
A wonderful evening of dancing and celebrating five years of Hoogah!
Rachel and her wife, Hannah, decided in 2018 to put their love for music and bringing people together to raise a higher vibration into action by creating a collective called UNHU - “I am because we are”.
Unhu is a proverb which has no direct translation, however it can be freely translated into the above statement. It is a term used mostly in a philosophical sense to mean “the belief in a universal bond of sharing that connects all humanity”.
We’d like to extend a massive thank you to all of our amazing staff, past and present over the past Five years for making Hoogah the wonderful community hub it is today!
The evening was a delight and big thanks to our staff for hosting, cooking up our Hoogah classics and shaking up cosmic cocktails and pulling delicious pints all night! Big up the UNHU CRHU for bringing their magical essence to Hoogah once again to celebrate, and also huge thanks to Bea and Jack for capturing the evening!
We cannot wait for the next instalment of the UNHU story and for our upcoming events we have planned to host here at Hoogah.
